The short version
BeeTwo collects nothing about you. There is no BeeTwo account, no analytics, no tracking and no advertising.
Your Backblaze keys
The application keys you add are stored only in the macOS Keychain on your Mac, optionally protected by Touch ID. They are sent only to Backblaze, to sign in to your B2 account. We never see them.
Your files
BeeTwo connects directly from your Mac to Backblaze B2. Your files, their names and their contents never pass through our servers.
Data kept on your Mac
- Your settings and the list of your accounts (without the secret keys).
- A search index of file names, if you use search across buckets.
- An activity log of what the app did (transfers, errors), which never contains keys. You can open or delete it at any time.
All of this stays on your Mac and is removed when you delete the app and its folders.
Updates
At launch, BeeTwo checks a small public file to see whether a new version exists. This request contains no personal data beyond what any web request includes (such as your IP address), and you can turn the check off in Settings.
